Overview
Chha Maya Chhapakkai 2 is a 2026 Nepali romantic comedy-drama directed by Dipendra Lama, serving as a thematic sequel that blends humor with biting political and social commentary. Starring Deepak Raj Giri, Keki Adhikari, and Sanisha Bhattarai, the plot shifts away from the first film's focus on pure political rivalry to delve into the complications of family, generation gaps, and married life. The story centers on Muralidhar (Deepak Raj Giri), a former lifelong communist cadre trying to leave politics behind to enjoy domestic life with his much younger wife, Jal (Keki Adhikari). However, his retirement is upended by intense pressure from his deeply political father, his religious mother, and modern economic pressures like the youth fixation on moving abroad, creating a satirical mirror of contemporary Nepali society.
