Pooja Sharma is a Nepali actress, model, and singer, widely recognized for her versatility and screen presence in Nepali cinema. Born on April 30, 1992, in Sindhupalchowk, Nepal, she later relocated to Kathmandu for her education, earning a bachelor's degree in Tourism. Before stepping into acting, she built early experience as a VJ.
Career
Pooja made her acting debut with The Three Lovers (2012), but it was the romantic drama Prem Geet (2016) that brought her widespread recognition. Her portrayal of the lead character Geet resonated strongly with audiences and established her among the leading actresses in Nepali cinema. She went on to appear in several notable films, including Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu (2017), Ramkahani (2018), and Poi Paryo Kale (2019). In addition to acting, Pooja has expanded her presence in the industry as a producer. Her production Rawayan (2024), starring Paul Shah and Priyanka Karki, explores complex relationships and social themes, earning appreciation for its emotional depth. The same year, she appeared in the action-drama Daanvi (2024), directed by Rupesh Tamang — a film centered on themes of bravery, betrayal, and redemption that was well received by audiences.
